Although anyone can benefit from the Runbayou philosophy of training, this program is primarily designed for runners who want to improve their marathon times. In other words, you've run at least one marathon and are interested in improving your performance.
The Runbayou marathon training program is typically divided into four (4) phases with a 2 week taper. In a 26 week program, each phase will last for ~6 weeks and will focus on a specific aspect of your fitness. Each phase is designed to prepare you for each subsequent phase. If your goal marathon is less than 26 weeks away, the program can be modified accordingly. For example, an 18 week program would have each phase last for ~4 weeks with a 2 week taper.

The following Runbayou Marathon Training programs were designed to incorporate the Houston Marathon warm-up series races, HARRA spring series, and/or other major races that occur during the training.
